Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using BriefMeBuild ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What BriefMeBuild is

BriefMeBuild is a tool that generates fictional project briefs to help developers and designers practice their craft, build portfolio pieces, and explore new ideas. Briefs are tailored to your quiz answers and are intended for personal, educational, and portfolio use.

Briefs are not real client commissions, do not represent real organisations or projects, and should not be represented as such.

Accounts and anonymous sessions

You may use the Service without creating an account. Anonymous sessions are tied to your browser. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from clearing your browser cookies or cache.

When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of other people without their consent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls through automated means
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service at scale
• Use generated briefs to mislead others into believing they are real client projects
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Generated content

Briefs are generated automatically from your profile. We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, original, appropriate for any particular purpose, or free from errors. You use generated briefs at your own discretion.

You own the work you create based on a brief. We do not claim any rights over projects you build as a result of using the Service.

Subscriptions and payments

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Premium includes up to 5 briefs per UTC day; limits reset at midnight UTC. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which you will revert to the free tier.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Service availability

We aim to keep BriefMeBuild available and functioning but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any disruption to your use of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BriefMeBuild and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users.
